Health and Wellness Committee

The Health and Wellness Committee meets four times per year along with the K12 Action Team.  In addition to these four required meetings, the committee meets virtually as a smaller group to plan and coordinate events for the district.

We have kicked off the 2025-2026 school year with our annual September feedback survey to staff which serves to guide our work toward the committee's overarching goal of reducing educator stress levels.  We aim to achieve this goal by coordinating districtwide events for staff that are guided by the feedback we receive in this annual survey.  The health and wellness committee also completes an annual review of the district's wellness policy ensuring compliance with this requirement.

We have developed this website page to ensure compliance with the regulations that govern the responsibilities of the health and wellness committee.

Highlights from the 2024-2025 school year include:
  1. Development of the district wellness policy as well as completion of the required triennial assessment of the policy.
  2. Participation in the Tier One Policy Coaching program through The John Stalker Institute.
  3. The district was recognized as a "School Wellness Champion" for our completion of Tier One Coaching program.
