Parent University Registration

Parent University

Good afternoon:  I am pleased to announce that the North Reading Public Schools is hosting its first Parent University event on Saturday, April 7, 2018, from 8:00 a.m. until 12:30 North Reading Middle/High School.

Parent University is a day of informational programs for parents to further strengthen the partnership that exists with the North Reading Public Schools and to provide parents with greater insight into their child’s education and other useful information in three areas:  Educating the Whole Child, Curriculum, and Technology.

Parent University is an innovative educational model that promotes learning for parents, taking families’ challenges, needs and educational goals into account for maximum impact on student success.  The workshops offered will strive to teach valuable skills and provide knowledge that benefits both families and children and promotes an inclusive school culture, helping participants to feel even more valued in their school community, which is crucial in empowering them to become a partner in their children’s education.

Parent University will be facilitated by a collaborative team comprised of school district personnel and community partners who share a common vision for our community, each bringing their years of experience and expertise to have a collective, positive impact on student performance and the overall success of the North Reading Public Schools.

It is my sincere hope that you will join others at the North Reading Public Schools’ inaugural Parent University event on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at North Reading Middle/High School.

Below is a link to register for the event and more information about Parent University, including an opportunity for those wishing to attend Parent University to register their child for child care (ages 4-13). The child care will be provided by the students of the North Reading High School Student Council.  Registering for the event is requested so as to provide for proper planning for the day.
