Which school will my child attend? District Map with Elementary School Boundaries

The North Reading Public Schools offers a cost-free half-day program as well as a  full-day, fee based kindergarten program in each of our elementary schools. A child, who is five years old on or before August 31st  of the school year, is eligible for Kindergarten in September of that year. The North Reading Public Schools early childhood programs encompass a broad range of developmentally-appropriate learning activities. Parents are encouraged to enroll their children in kindergarten when they are age appropriate. A kindergarten parent orientation is held annually and the date is indicated on the school district's website and calendar, advertised in the Transcript, and shared on social media.

For the 2025-2026 school year, the district-wide “Getting Ready for Kindergarten” parent orientation will be conducted on January 9, 2025 at the North Reading High School/Middle School Distance Learning Lab (DLL) at 6:30 p.m.  This presentation will be for all three elementary schools.  Please use the link below to let us know that you will be in attendance for that evening.

Parent/Guardian RSVP for Kindergarten Orientation

On Tuesday, January 28, 2025, each elementary school will be accepting completed registration materials (please provide copies of everything required) during the following hours:

•  8:30 a.m. -1:45 p.m.

The snow date will be Thursday, January 30, 2025.

Upon arrival at your home school for registration, a staff member will collect your documentation at the main entrance.  While on campus for registration, please abide by all traffic and parking regulations. 

The registration process includes:

• Review the Kindergarten registration information letter 
• A completed kindergarten registration form note: This form is fillable.  Please type, print and bring with you.
• A completed tuition agreement (if applicable)  note: This form is fillable. Please type, print and bring with you.
• A completed Home Language Survey
• A completed Health History form (3 pages)
• A completed Residency Statement (2 pages), or Landlord/Shared Tenancies Affidavit or  School Admission/Residency (Responsible Adult Affidavit) (if applicable)
• A birth certificate or other proof of date of birth is required at the time of kindergarten registration.
• A recent physical examination and complete immunization records (including evidence of lead screening) are required.
