Kindergarten Lottery: Am I guaranteed a spot for my child in full-day kindergarten if I want one?

Although we make every effort to ensure that families are offered a spot in the full-day program, we cannot guarantee it. Families registering for full-day will receive a “lottery-number.” Depending on the number of children registered, a lottery may be necessary to fully populate a class(es). Children that are not chosen in their home school's lottery will be given the opportunity to attend a full-day program at another elementary school in town, if a spot is available. If a child attends a full-day program at another school, busing is not provided, and the students will return to their home school for first grade.
