Conferences

November 12, 2021

Dear Hood School Parent/Guardians,

I hope this email finds you and your family well.  We will be hosting 1st trimester Parent/Teacher Conferences on Wednesday, December 1st (evening), and Thursday, December 2nd (afternoon). For this trimester, all conferences will be done virtually.

A link to schedule your conferences will be sent along on Monday, November 15th (at 9:00 a.m.) and will continue to be available for you to schedule a conference through the end of the school day on Wednesday, November 24th (at 11:30 a.m.).     Once you receive the link and access the website, very clear directions will be given to you with each click of your mouse. You will be able to sign up for each of your child(ren)'s teacher’s conferences using this system.   Please know that this is a first-come, first-serve system.

Our conference days and times for grades Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 5 are as follows:

Wednesday, December 1st (evening) – 5:00-8:00 p.m.

Thursday, December 2nd (afternoon) – 12:15-3:15 p.m.

Report cards will be available on the parent portal (under E-Locker) for your review at the end of the school day on Monday, November 29th.   We ask that you access your child’s report card prior to meeting with the teacher in order to prepare questions and to guide this important discussion.

Please remember that these days will be EARLY RELEASE DAYS (11:30 a.m.) for all students.  Conferences are scheduled at 15-minute intervals and therefore, we ask that you arrive on time to your conference.  A link will be sent to you in advance of your conference appointment.  It is likely that you will need to be admitted to the meeting by the classroom teacher.  Please be patient as you await their attention.

Thank you for your interest and involvement in your child’s educational journey.   Conferences allow for meaningful conversations focused on the most important part of the Hood School family…our students. We look forward to this dialogue in an effort to foster a strong partnership between home and school.

Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions or concerns.

Sincerely,

Mr. Glen S. McKay

Principal
