Conferences

November 27, 2023

Dear J. Turner Hood School Parents/Guardians,

We hope this email finds you well.  On Thursday, December 14, 2023, and Friday, December 15, 2023, we will be hosting 1st trimester Parent/Teacher Conferences.  The Thursday evening session will be in-person and the Friday afternoon session will be virtual.  A link to access the website to schedule conferences (“PTC Fast”) will be emailed separately on Tuesday, November 28th at 1:00 p.m.  This link will be open and active for you to schedule conferences through the end of the school day on Friday, December 8th.  When you receive the link and access the website, very clear directions will be provided to you with each click of your mouse.  You will be able to sign up for your child's (or children's) teacher's conference using this system.  Please note that this is a first-come, first-served system.

If you do not have internet access. we ask that you email or call your teacher at 978-664-7817 to schedule a conference.

Our conference days and times are as follows:

Thursday, December 14th, 2023: 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm (In-person)

Friday, December 15th, 2023: 12:30 pm - 3:30 pm (Virtual)

If you are unable to attend at the above designated times, please contact your classroom teacher directly to find a mutually agreeable time to conduct a conference.

Please remember that these days will be early release days for students and staff in order to accommodate the conference schedule.  Conferences are scheduled at 15-minute intervals and therefore, we ask that you arrive on time for your conference.

Wednesday, December 13th is also an early release day for students to accommodate professional development for our educators.

A link to the Google Meet will be sent to you in advance of your conference appointment if you choose the Friday afternoon virtual option. You will likely need to be admitted to the meeting by the classroom teacher.  Please be patient as you await their attention.

Thank you for your interest and involvement in your child's educational journey.  Conferences allow for meaningful conversations focused on the most essential part of the Hood  School family...our students.  We look forward to this dialogue in an effort to foster a strong partnership between home and school.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call or email me.

Sincerely,

Glen S. McKay
