Parent Forum Survey

February 3, 2021

Dear Members of the J. Turner Hood School Community,

I am writing to you today as we near 100 days in school! I wanted to reach out to all stakeholder groups on a proposal that was made by the J. Turner Hood School Council. The J. Turner Hood School Council is an advisory group that works directly with the school leadership. Specifically, the School Council advises the Principal on a host of matters.

During a recent meeting, it was proposed that we, as a school team,  host a parent presentation (virtually) focusing on several items that we have discussed. As the discussion went on and subsequent discussions occurred with various other groups, it was determined that a stakeholder topic survey would determine the talking points.

Some examples include:

Arrival and Dismissal

Hybrid Learning

How is recess going?

What is a close contact and how is that defined?

What does the cafeteria look like?

What is Math instruction like this year when compared to the previous year?

Has hands-on Science changed?

What does a classroom look like set at 6 feet apart?

I have included a link to a survey below to determine what talking points should guide this presentation which is tentatively scheduled for February 24, 2021 at 5:00 via Google Hangout.

Please complete the survey prior to February 10, 2021.

Thanks in advance for completing the survey,
