Spring Conferences

March 4, 2024

Dear J. Turner Hood School Parents/Guardians,

We hope this email finds you well.  On Wednesday, March 27th, 2024, and Thursday, March 28th, 2024, we will be hosting 2nd trimester Parent/Teacher Conferences.  The Wednesday evening session will be in-person and the Thursday afternoon session will be virtual.  A link to access the website to schedule conferences (“PTC Fast”) will be emailed separately on Monday, March 11th at 1:00 p.m.  This link will be open and active for you to schedule conferences through the end of the school day on Friday, March 22nd.  When you receive the link and access the website, very clear directions will be provided to you with each click of your mouse.  You will be able to sign up for your child's (or children's) teacher's conference using this system.  Please note that this is a first-come, first-served system.  It is recommended, that if you are scheduling more than one conference, you do not book them back to back.  Please leave a 15 minute buffer between when one conference ends and the next begins to help keep us all on schedule.

If you do not have internet access. we ask that you email or call your teacher at 978-664-7814 to schedule a conference.

Our conference days and times are as follows:

Wednesday, March 27th, 2024: 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm (In-person)

Thursday, March 28th, 2024: 12:30 pm - 3:30 pm (Virtual)

If you are unable to attend at the above designated times, please contact your classroom teacher directly to find a mutually agreeable time to conduct a conference.

Please remember that these days will be early release days for students and staff in order to accommodate the conference schedule.  Conferences are scheduled at 15-minute intervals and therefore, we ask that you arrive on time for your conference.

Friday, March 29th is also an early release day for students.

A link to the Google Meet will be sent to you in advance of your conference appointment if you choose the Thursday afternoon virtual option. You will likely need to be admitted to the meeting by the classroom teacher.  Please be patient as you await their attention.

Thank you for your interest and involvement in your child's educational journey.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call or email me.

Sincerely,

Mr. Glen S. McKay
